Febriana/Amallia rise from setback at Japan Open 2025

Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi — world’s number 10 women’s doubles pair secured victory for Indonesia in the round of 32 at Japan Open 2025 held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

Facing American pair Lauren Lam/Allison Lee, the Indonesian representatives initially struggled — trailing in the opening game with a score of 11-21. The opponents’ cross-court drives caught them off guard several times.

However in the second and third games, the Australian Open champions managed to switch tactics — dominating the match to claim victory with scores of 21-14, 21-14. This result marked a sweet ending for Indonesia following two other victories on the same day.
