FC Dallas suffers heavy defeat to San Jose Earthquakes after lightning storm delay

Maarten Paes endured a difficult night as FC Dallas suffered a heavy 2-4 defeat to San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer (MLS) at Toyota Stadium, Texas.

The match scheduled for Thursday morning WIB was initially postponed — severe weather with lightning storm forced organizers to delay the kickoff time.

“Tonight’s FC Dallas match is in delay due to lightning. Kickoff time has not been determined, but we expect the delay to be brief,” stated Toyota Stadium’s official X account.

The visiting team coached by US legendary manager Bruce Arena — the 73-year-old who holds the record for longest-serving coach in MLS — managed to show their dominance after the match finally began.
