FAM requests security guarantees from PSSI ahead of ASEAN Cup U-23

Datuk Noor Azman Rahman, Secretary General of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), has expressed a request for security guarantees from PSSI for the Harimau Muda team participating in ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — the tournament scheduled in Jakarta and Bekasi from mid-July.

Given the history of high-tension matches between both nations, FAM has established special coordination with PSSI to ensure smooth competition proceedings.

“FAM has made thorough preparations with PSSI to ensure this match runs well since we are in the same group for this edition,” stated Datuk Noor Azman Rahman.

In this tournament, Indonesia U-23 national team is placed in Group A alongside:

• Malaysia
• Philippines
• Brunei Darussalam

FAM has also appointed Peter Cklamovski as Malaysia’s senior team coach, while Nafuzi Zain will lead the U-23 squad — both ready to guide Harimau Muda in this prestigious event.
