FAM President Demands Clarification on National Team Coach’s Controversial Statement

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) President, Datuk Mohd Joehari Ayub, has requested clarification from national team coach Peter Cklamovski — regarding his statements about internal barriers within the national team.

The controversial remarks were made by Cklamovski following Malaysia’s victory over Vietnam in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers — where he mentioned political issues and certain obstacles hindering the team’s progress at international level.

Ironically, these statements emerged amid Harimau Malaya’s impressive achievement of defeating Vietnam 4-0 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium — ending a decade-long winless streak against their regional rivals.

The Malaysian national team is currently strengthened by several naturalized players from various countries — including Argentina and Spain who have added new dimensions to the team’s gameplay.
