Fajar/Rian Through to Singapore Open Quarterfinals

Indonesian men’s doubles pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto advanced to the quarterfinals of the Singapore Open 2025 after defeating Thailand’s Kittinupong Kedren/Dechapol Puavaranukroh at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Thursday (May 29).

This second-round match was a dramatic battle — with the duo known as FajRi trailing 17-20 before making a stunning comeback.

In the early part of the match, Fajar/Rian struggled to deal with their opponents’ attacks, falling behind 6-11 due to misreads and unforced errors.

However, a tactical shift involving the use of flick serves in crucial moments helped them regain control and secure a spot in the next round.
