Fajar/Fikri Advance to Last 16 of China Open 2025

Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri advanced to the last 16 of the China Open 2025 after defeating a Malaysian pair at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Changzhou.

The Indonesian men’s doubles duo dominated Choong Hon Jian/Haikal Muhammad with a commanding 21-11, 21-10 win — the match lasted just 23 minutes.

Despite trailing early in the match, Fajar/Fikri turned things around with aggressive play, especially through sharp net interceptions that left their opponents struggling.

The Malaysian pair, ranked 53rd in the world, couldn’t handle the relentless attacks from the Indonesian duo — particularly after the first game interval, which ended 11-5 in Fajar/Fikri’s favor.
