Fajar/Fikri finally claim Super 1000 title at China Open

Men’s doubles pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri achieved a remarkable feat by winning the BWF World Tour Super 1000 China Open 2025 which concluded last weekend.

After finishing as runners-up at both All England Open and Indonesia Open 2025 — the Indonesian pair finally secured their first Super 1000 title this year.

Fajar/Fikri’s performance at the China Open was flawless — they managed to win all matches in straight games.

On their path to the championship, they defeated several world-class pairs:

  • Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae (South Korea)
  • Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang (China)
  • Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik (Malaysia) in the final

BWF World Tour Super 1000 represents the highest level in world badminton circuit — with only four tournaments of this tier annually: Malaysia Open, All England Open, Indonesia Open, and China Open.
