Fahri Septian shines as Indonesia defeats Philippines in SEA V League

Fahri Septian Putratama delivered an outstanding performance as Indonesia’s men’s volleyball team defeated Philippines 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18) in the second leg of SEA V League 2025 at Jakarta International Velodrome.

The 26-year-old player — who scored six service aces in the fifth set — became key to Indonesia’s victory after trailing 1-2. This result complements the Red and White team’s previous 3-0 win in the first leg in Philippines.

“The entry of Alfin Daniel and Rivan Nurmulki changed the game rhythm — Philippines couldn’t read our game because Alvin didn’t participate in SEA V League before,” said Fahri.

“They became key players to replace the experienced senior players. Clearly, in this national team we have the best players selected from across Indonesia — there are no bench players, team A or team B, we are all equal,” he added.
