According to GPOne, Fabio Quartararo of Monster Energy Yamaha shared his views about the future with the Japanese factory team — while still believing in the development project, he does not rule out the possibility of parting ways.

The French rider showed mixed performances in the last three rounds of MotoGP 2025 — securing three consecutive pole positions at the Spanish, French, and British GPs, but failed to finish at Silverstone due to technical issues with the rear height device on the YZR-M1.

“My relationship with the Japanese factory has always been good, although sometimes progress is too slow. Many European crew members have arrived, and the Japanese members are more blended now,” said Quartararo.

“If something works, that’s better. We won’t wait two months to see if the upgrade passes tests for a few kilometers,” he added, explaining the now more efficient development process.
