Fabio Quartararo puts pressure on Yamaha for MotoGP V4 project

Fabio Quartararo is putting pressure on Yamaha and technical director Max Bartolini regarding the development of MotoGP V4 project for the 2026 season.

The French rider has had a long journey with Yamaha since joining Petronas SRT in 2019 — securing seven podiums in his debut season and the world championship title in 2021.

However, Yamaha’s performance has declined dramatically since mid-2022 — the Japanese team has struggled to compete with European manufacturers and Quartararo has only managed four podiums since then.

“We need to fight for victories starting next year. For this year confidence is zero, but everything depends on next year’s bike,” stated Quartararo.

“Max is under enormous pressure. If I stay with Yamaha, they should thank him because he’s the one who made me believe in this project,” he added.
