Fabio Quartararo Faces Tough Challenge at French MotoGP

Fabio Quartararo is set to face a major test at the 2025 French MotoGP, as the Le Mans Circuit continues to pose challenges for Yamaha — with the manufacturer having struggled there for the past eight years.

Despite that, the French rider remains hopeful after clinching a surprise podium at the Spanish GP. His pole position in Jerez serves as proof that the Yamaha M1 is finally showing signs of improvement.

“This podium shows real progress with his bike, at a circuit that has always favored Fabio and his Yamaha,” said Regis Laconi, former French MotoGP rider.

He added, “The short Jerez circuit benefits Yamaha — their top speed is lower and overall slightly less compared to others.”

Laconi warns, however, that Le Mans offers a completely different challenge. Its characteristics may expose Yamaha’s remaining weaknesses despite their progress in recent testing sessions.
