Fabio Quartararo disappointed after technical failure at Silverstone

Fabio Quartararo of Monster Energy Yamaha experienced major disappointment after failing to secure victory at the British MotoGP — the team’s best opportunity for their first win this season.

Silverstone Circuit witnessed unexpected drama — the French rider led the race with a lead of more than five seconds before technical issues emerged. A malfunction in the rear ride height device of the YZR M-1 motorcycle shattered Yamaha’s hopes of ending their victory drought that has lasted since the German MotoGP three years ago.

“I don’t know when the next opportunity will come. There are circuits where we will struggle more, and circuits like this where we will be fast, but we are on the right track,” stated Quartararo.

The failure occurred with seven laps remaining — eliminating Yamaha’s chance for their first victory this season.
