Fabio Di Giannantonio reveals Spanish language journey and VR46 relationship

Fabio Di Giannantonio — the Italian MotoGP rider — revealed an interesting story about his Spanish language abilities to DAZN.

“My Spanish skills didn’t come from racing in Spain because we didn’t have enough funds to compete there. Since childhood, I didn’t like not understanding things, so I learned by watching champion interviews in Spanish and English,” Di Giannantonio explained.

“Besides school learning, I also watched Netflix series in Spanish to improve my skills,” he added.

Speaking about his relationship with Valentino Rossi’s VR46 racing academy, the rider commonly known as Diggia acknowledged taking a different path.

“I’m indeed not part of the Academy — they never contacted me. Although the Academy does amazing work with its riders, I chose to follow my own path. I feel like an outsider in the world championship, but I like it because I can build my own story and personality,” he explained.
