F1 Fantasy has announced necessary team changes following driver position swaps at Racing Bulls. According to Motorsport.com, players with Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson in their teams must use their transfer allowance to avoid penalties.

This situation emerges amid disqualification issues affecting Ferrari drivers — Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc — at the Chinese GP due to car technical infringements. Tsunoda now costs $16.4 million — double the value of Lawson at Racing Bulls.

Motorsport.com Germany Editor Ruben Zimmermann shares his strategy:

“I lost a lot of points in China because of the double Ferrari disqualification. As I’m still annoyed about that, Ferrari is out this time! Instead, I’ve opted for a cheaper team with Racing Bulls to accommodate Oscar Piastri, who will be my spearhead in Japan.”

Writer Hannah Newman also shares her approach:

“Off the back of Piastri’s fantastic performance in China, I have decided to replace Lando Norris with his McLaren team-mate. I’ve also switched Williams drivers — Carlos Sainz out for Alex Albon, as Albon’s performances have been fantastic recently.”

Players can still join the F1 Fantasy league to participate in the competition ahead of the Japanese GP.

With the ongoing driver and team fluctuations, F1 Fantasy players—must stay vigilant with their strategies to maximize points. As the season progresses, adapting to real-world F1 developments will be crucial for success in the fantasy league.
