F1 Experts Warn Isack Hadjar About Risks of Joining Red Bull

Based on a discussion on the Sky Sports F1 Show, F1 experts have expressed concerns that joining Red Bull Racing could potentially harm Isack Hadjar’s career.

Red Bull is currently facing a significant challenge — finding the right teammate for Max Verstappen. After parting ways with Sergio Perez, the team tested Liam Lawson, who lasted only two races before being replaced by Yuki Tsunoda, who also struggles to adapt to the RB21 car.

The Problem with the RB21 Car

The Red Bull RB21 is designed specifically around Verstappen’s driving style, which has become problematic. Many talented drivers find it difficult to match his performance. The situation is further complicated by Verstappen accumulating 11 penalty points out of the 12-point limit.

Expert Opinions on Hadjar’s Potential Move

Simon Lazenby warned:

“If I was Isack Hadjar, I would be saying ‘no, no, no.’ I would be running a mile from that at the moment. Why would you potentially destroy your career?”

Meanwhile, Karun Chandhok advised Hadjar to:

  • Keep his seat at Racing Bulls

  • Explore opportunities at teams like Ferrari or Aston Martin

  • Avoid joining Red Bull

On the other hand, David Croft suggested that Hadjar’s driving style, similar to Verstappen’s, might actually help him adapt quickly to the Red Bull car.
