Evos Playoff Hopes Dangle by a Thread in MPL ID S15

Evos’ chances of advancing to the MPL ID Season 15 playoffs are growing slimmer, with only three matches left in the final two weeks of the Regular Season. Their fate now hinges not only on their own performance but also on the results of two higher-ranked teams.

Currently, the Blue Tigers have managed just five wins out of thirteen matches, leaving them stranded in seventh place. To secure a spot in the lower bracket, they must win all remaining games. However, this goal appears daunting, as one of their upcoming opponents is Onic ID — a team that has shown marked improvement since reuniting with head coach Paul “Yeb” Denver.

Evos will then face Navi and Dewa Esports, both stuck in the elimination zone. While these matchups may seem manageable on paper, both rivals are expected to fight fiercely for different reasons: Navi aims to avoid a winless season, while Dewa Esports clings to the same slim playoff hopes as Evos.

Not safe enough

Beyond internal problems, Evos must rely on the outcomes of matches involving Onic ID and Alter Ego, both of whom are strong playoff contenders. Statistically, these two teams need only two more wins to secure their lower bracket spots, making Evos’ clash with Onic ID critical.

Even if Evos wins all their remaining matches, they would still need favorable head-to-head comparisons and hope other teams prevent Onic ID and Alter Ego from earning maximum points. To boost their point differential, they must aim for decisive 2-0 victories in every match.

Their mental resilience will be put to the test as they strive to avoid repeating last season’s disappointment — a bitter outcome for a team of Evos’ stature.
