Evos Kyy Confused by Team’s Poor MPL Finish

Hengky Gunawan aka Evos Kyy, a popular MLBB roamer, recently shared surprising thoughts about his team’s poor performance in the MPL ID S15 regular season.

After a strong start, Evos struggled to maintain consistency, declining significantly in the second half. They lost crucial matches in week 8 and finished seventh – the elimination zone – in the final week.

This result baffled both Evos fans and neutral viewers, who had seen the Blue Tiger’s solid strategy and mechanics in tough moments. Even Kyy, a new recruit this season, questioned what went wrong to miss the playoffs.

In his latest livestream, Kyy revealed the team practiced extensively, including scrims, to prepare. However, despite scrimming against strong opponents like Liquid PH and Team Falcons, the 21-year-old admitted confusion over their in-game struggles.

“Guys, even though we didn’t make playoffs, we were strong in scrims. I don’t know why we played like s**t in the tournament. Our main problem was losing late-game situations,” Kyy explained.

He added they also scrimmed with Aurora Gaming, a top MPL PH team known for unique strategies, and performed well. Yet, their tournament results still fell short of expectations.

Alongside Kyy, jungler Albert “Alberttt” Iskandar also joined as a new recruit earlier this February. Both players’ performances highlighted that team synergy needs improvement for the next season.
