Estevao Willian eyes number 10 position at Chelsea next season

Estevao Willian — the Brazilian wonderkid purchased by Chelsea from Palmeiras last year — reportedly aims to secure the number 10 position currently occupied by Cole Palmer.

The 65 million euro transfer is split into two components — a base fee of 40 million euros and the remainder as performance-based bonuses.

Despite officially becoming Chelsea’s player last year, the 176 cm tall player couldn’t join due to FIFA regulations prohibiting international transfers of players under 18.

After celebrating his 18th birthday this April, Estevao is now ready to join Enzo Maresca’s squad for the upcoming season.
