American media outlet ESPN praised the performance of the Indonesia national football team, who defeated China in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.

Ole Romeny was the hero for Indonesia, scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 45th minute — giving Indonesia a 1-0 lead over China.

This victory moved the Indonesia national football team to fourth place in the group standings with 12 points, securing a ticket to the fourth round — after Bahrain suffered a defeat against Saudi Arabia.
