Erol Iba Urges Patrick Kluivert to Scout Liga 2 Talent

According to a report by Bolasport.com, Erol Iba — a Papuan football legend — has urged Indonesia national football team head coach Patrick Kluivert to expand his scouting to include Liga 2.

Currently, there are no players from Liga 2 in the Indonesia national football team squad under Kluivert‘s leadership, despite the competition featuring many promising talents capable of performing at the national level.

Ramai Rumakiek from Persipura Jayapura is a clear example. The player recorded an impressive performance with 11 goals and 4 assists in 12 matches during the 2024–2025 Liga 2 season.

The Indonesia national football team coaching staff has not monitored Liga 2, which concluded in February 2025 — a situation that prompted Erol Iba to voice his hope that Liga 2 players will be given an equal opportunity to represent the national team.
