Erick Thohir speaks up after Indonesia U-23 team crushes Brunei

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir has responded to Indonesia U-23 national team’s commanding victory over Brunei Darussalam in the opening match of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025.

The squad under Gerald Vanenburg managed to defeat Brunei Darussalam with a score of 8-0 — six goals coming from Jens Raven.

Jens Raven delivered an outstanding performance by scoring five goals in the first half, while the other two goals were contributed by Rayhan Hannan and Arkhan Fikri.

Indonesia U-23 team must now maintain their focus for the upcoming match against Philippines — a team that recently defeated Malaysia 2-0 under the guidance of Garrath James McPherson.
