Erick Thohir reveals progress on Mauro Zijlstra’s naturalization for Indonesian national team

Erick Thohir as PSSI Chairman provides latest updates regarding the naturalization process of Mauro Zijlstra and three women’s national team players.

PSSI continues to welcome heritage players who wish to represent Indonesian national teams — for both men’s and women’s sides.

Mauro Zijlstra, currently 20 years old — FC Volendam player — was previously linked with naturalization process alongside Ole Romeny.

The young Dutch player is projected to strengthen two teams simultaneously — the senior national team and Indonesia U-23 that have secured their spot in the fourth round of 2026 World Cup Qualifications.
