Erick Thohir pledges full support for Indonesian Women’s National Team

Erick Thohir — PSSI Chairman has declared full commitment to the development of the Indonesian Women’s National Team ahead of the 2026 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Coach Satoru Mochizuki has selected 23 players to strengthen Garuda Pertiwi — a squad currently undergoing intensive preparation for the qualification tournament.

“Yesterday there was AFF U-19, now the senior national team, if they enter next year’s women’s championship in Australia if I’m not mistaken, the target is the same,” stated Erick Thohir.

“If they perform well again, it’s not impossible to dream of breaking through to the World Cup, there’s a women’s world championship in 2027,” he added.

PSSI emphasizes that it will provide equal treatment between men’s and women’s national teams — a strategic step to improve Indonesian football achievements in the international arena.
