Erick Thohir expects U-23 national team to perform well in ASEAN Cup 2025

Erick Thohir as PSSI Chairman expressed his hopes for the Indonesia U-23 national team competing in ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — the tournament starts tomorrow in two different stadiums.

Indonesia is drawn in Group A alongside Malaysia, Philippines, and Brunei Darussalam — matches will be held at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium Bekasi and Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium Jakarta.

“This tournament will serve as preparation before the U-23 national team competes in the U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers next September,” stated Erick Thohir.

The PSSI chairman hopes the national team can showcase their best performance in front of home supporters — considering this tournament is crucial heading into continental qualifiers.
