Erick Thohir, PSSI Chairman, discusses the possibility of Jens Raven joining the Indonesian national team as a replacement for injured Ole Romeny.

The 25-year-old Indonesian national team striker — will undergo surgery tomorrow following an injury from an Arema FC player’s tackle in the 2025 President’s Cup.

The injury prevented Romeny from representing Oxford United in the President’s Cup 2025 final — and he will certainly miss the upcoming September FIFA Matchday when Indonesia faces Kuwait and Lebanon in Surabaya.

“In football, anything can happen. Ole indeed won’t be able to play this September,” stated Thohir, who also serves as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises.
