England Goalkeeper Khiara Keating’s Drug Case Officially Dismissed

The legal case against England goalkeeper Khiara Keating regarding alleged Class C drug possession has been officially dismissed, as reported by BBC.

The case timeline began when Keating and her mother Nicola appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court about 11 months ago — both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Following a second hearing last September, the trial scheduled for this November has been canceled as the case has been officially closed.

“I’m relieved the charges have been dropped. As I’ve always said, I did nothing wrong,” Keating told BBC. “It’s been a difficult time but I’ve always known the truth. Now I’m just looking forward to focusing fully on the Euros and spending time with my family.”

The case dismissal comes two weeks before Keating and the Lionesses begin their European Championship title defense in Switzerland.
