Emmanuel Petit Backs Dembele for 2025 Ballon d’Or

French football legend Emmanuel Petit has named Ousmane Dembele as the leading candidate for this season’s Ballon d’Or, praising his outstanding performances for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 27-year-old winger has been dominant for PSG, recording 33 goals and 12 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

Dembele’s contributions have helped Paris Saint-Germain secure the Ligue 1 title, and the French capital club remains on course for a potential treble. They hold a 1-0 aggregate lead over Arsenal in the Champions League semifinals and have reached the final of the Coupe de France.

Currently, PSG is the only club from Europe’s top five leagues still in the running for a treble-winning season.
