Anthony Elanga delivered a masterclass against his former club — scoring the only goal as Nottingham Forest defeated Manchester United 1-0, as reported by TNT Sports.

Elanga’s spectacular goal came from his remarkable solo run — covering 85 meters in less than 9 seconds before calmly slotting past the United goalkeeper with a precise finish.

“I focus on attacking the space and getting to the opposite goal as quickly as I can. I saw the space and believe I’m one of the fastest players in the league,” said Elanga.

“I appreciate Manchester United so much as I learned a lot there. I am enjoying my football and I want to keep on going,” added the Swedish player.

United manager Ruben Amorim acknowledged the immense pressure at Old Trafford — which makes it difficult for young players to develop. Forest now sits firmly in the top four, while United faces the prospect of their first mid-table finish in 35 years.

United dominated possession but failed to break down Forest’s defense. Their best chances came from Diogo Dalot’s header hitting the crossbar and Harry Maguire’s effort being cleared off the line.
