Eky Taufik responds to foreign player regulation in next season’s Super League

Persis Solo defender Eky Taufik shared his views on the 11 foreign players regulation to be implemented in the 2025-2026 Super League season — he affirmed his readiness to face this competition.

“Personally, I have no issue with the 11 foreign players regulation. Because we always compete regardless of how many foreign players there are,” stated Eky Taufik at UNS Stadium, Solo.

While ready to compete, this defensive player expressed his concerns about the regulation’s impact on Indonesian youth football development.

“But sometimes it makes young football academy players more pessimistic. Because they aim to play in League 1, but there are already many foreign players there, and many regulations that somewhat hinder the young generation,” he explained.
