Eight F1 Teams Bring Major Upgrades for Belgian GP Sprint

Eight Formula 1 teams are bringing significant upgrades to Spa-Francorchamps Circuit — only Haas and Sauber opted out of updates for this weekend’s sprint race.

Red Bull introduces a series of modifications including refined front wing and rear wheel bodywork. The defending champions also made adjustments to sidepod inlets and engine cover for improved cooling management.

Ferrari brings redesigned rear suspension — aiming to make the car more stable to ride-height changes. Meanwhile, Williams focuses on major floor modifications, including new floor fence designs and more complex edge wing configuration.

McLaren introduces a low-downforce rear wing that will benefit the team at circuits like Monza and Las Vegas. Mercedes brings new front wing endplates to optimize airflow around the front tires.

“It’s a sprint race and we want to make sure we set the car up well for the race,” said Andy Cowell from Aston Martin regarding their plans to test new front wing.

Alpine limits their 2025 season development by only bringing a low-downforce rear wing, considering their focus has already shifted to the 2026 car.
