Edin Dzeko returns to Serie A at age 39

Edin Dzeko — the veteran striker from Bosnia-Herzegovina — proves that age is no barrier to remaining prolific at the highest level.

The 193 cm tall forward has a long history in Serie A — starting with AS Roma from 2015 to 2021, where he netted 119 goals in 260 appearances across all competitions.

His Italian journey continued with Inter Milan for two seasons, during which he contributed 31 goals from 101 matches.

Although he moved to Fenerbahce in the 2023-2024 season — considered a step toward retirement — Dzeko actually showed more impressive performance compared to his period with Inter Milan.

Now at 39 years old, this experienced striker is ready to challenge Serie A defenses once again.
