Ed Sheeran Attends Brad Pitt’s F1 Movie Premiere in London

Ed Sheeran appeared on the London red carpet for the premiere of Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 film — a project featuring his contribution to the soundtrack.

The Grammy Award winner revealed his experience of writing a song for a film character — a departure from his usual approach of writing from personal experience.

“Feeling good, yeah. Really excited to see it again on a proper screen, as I only saw it on a tiny screen,” Sheeran told interviewer Clara Amfo.

The song “Drive,” released four days ago, features collaboration with renowned musicians:

  • John Mayer on guitar
  • Dave Grohl on drums
  • Pino Palladino on bass
  • Rami Jaffee on keyboards

Sheeran explained that his involvement in this project happened naturally while in the studio with Blake Slatkin. Despite receiving numerous film soundtrack offers annually, this particular timing felt right for participation.

“Movies are my hobby and probably the only thing other than sport that I get starstruck to be part of. Not just directors or actors, but being part of the journey of a movie is so exciting for me,” he added.
