EA FC Officially Removes Diogo Jota from the Game

The mastermind of EA FC, Electronic Arts, has officially removed Diogo Jota from the game and stated he will no longer be available in any game mode.

The Portuguese national team star and key Liverpool striker reportedly passed away in a traffic accident in Spain, alongside his brother, Andre Silva, yesterday. He was 28 years old and is survived by his wife and their three children.

News of his death has prompted condolences from football professionals and esports figures who are close to Jota. EA confirmed the news and announced the removal of Jota from EA FC as a token of respect.

On its official social media, EA announced that the latest game update removes Jota from the Liverpool squad in all modes and takes him out of FUT packs across all platforms – console and mobile. Replacement items will retain Jota’s original pricing and pack rates.

Based on EA FC’s track records, Jota will likely become a “Legend” pack in a future edition. This means Liverpool fans may see him again in EA FC 26 when it drops in early October.
