Ducati Reveals GP25 and GP24 Engine Differences Amid Bagnaia’s Issues

Ahead of the Dutch MotoGP, Ducati has provided explanation about the differences in GP25 engine specifications compared to GP24 — this emerges as Francesco Bagnaia faces front-end stability issues.

Marc Marquez offers an interesting perspective on this situation.

“If the factory team wants to use the same bike as Alex, GP24, we can do it. There are some races where I introduced new components, then I went back,” says Marquez.

Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi confirms to Sky Italia:

“Bagnaia rides an evolution of Ducati 24. The engine is slightly different and for this reason we have done two homologations for 2024 and 2025 engines. He has the same evolution as Marc Marquez and Diggia.”

Development freeze regulations require that engine designs chosen at the start of the season cannot be changed — although other components can still be modified.
