Ducati Nears Honda’s Historic Record in MotoGP

Ahead of the fifth round of the 2025 Spanish MotoGP, Ducati stands on the brink of a historic achievement — matching Honda’s record for consecutive victories.

Marc Marquez has now proven that joining Ducati was the right decision. Once a top rival of the Italian manufacturer, he has become a key figure in their current success.

Ducati’s Transformation and Marc Marquez’s Pivotal Role

Five years ago, it would have been hard to imagine Marquez wearing Ducati colors, given his dominant run with Honda between 2017 and 2019. However, everything changed when Ducati introduced breakthroughs in aerodynamics and ride height technology.

Ducati’s Dominance and Statistics Since Last Season

This season, Marquez has delivered three wins in four races, while his teammate Francesco Bagnaia added another.

With a total of 17 consecutive victories stretching back to last season, Ducati is now just five wins away from equaling Honda’s all-time record of 22 straight wins, set during the 1997–1998 seasons.
