Ducati manager urges Marquez and Rossi to end long-standing feud

Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi takes firm stance on long-standing feud between Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi — urging both to shake hands and end their hostility.

The decade-long conflict originated in the 2015 season, when Rossi accused Marquez of sabotaging his chances for an eighth world title — a situation that has made Italy unfriendly territory for the Spanish rider.

“I think unsportsmanlike behavior can no longer be justified when linked to events from 10 years ago,” stated Tardozzi to Sky Italia after witnessing some spectators jeering Marquez following his sprint race victory.

“It’s time to turn the page and look to the future, especially for Marc and Valentino, and to send a positive message.”

Tardozzi also appreciated fans’ support for their local rider — despite Francesco Bagnaia finishing only third in that sprint race.
