Ducati CEO speaks out about Italian fans booing Marc Marquez

Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali has responded to the incident involving their rider Marc Marquez at the 2025 Italian MotoGP at Mugello Circuit.

The Spanish rider received jeers from some Italian fans — despite dominating with pole position and Sprint Race victory on Saturday.

Although on the first day Marquez trailed home rider Francesco Bagnaia in free practice — the Cervera native’s performance improved dramatically from qualifying through to the main race.

“Quiet, all of you quiet,” shouted Davide Tardozzi to spectators in the grandstand during the Sprint podium ceremony.

The Ducati Team Manager immediately defended Marquez — who received unsportsmanlike treatment from some local fans.
