DRX Seizes Title at Valorant Asian Champions League 2025

The grand finale of the 2025 HERO Valorant Asian Champions League, held in Shanghai, concluded with DRX claiming victory over Singapore’s Paper Rex in a thrilling 3-1 series.

Despite doubts surrounding their inconsistent performance in the earlier VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 1, DRX silenced doubters by battling through intense matches against Chinese powerhouses BiliBili Gaming and XLG Esports to secure their spot in the finals to face the Singaporean behemoth.

The best-of-five series kicked off on Split, where PRX narrowly edged out a 14-12 win after a chaotic, action-packed game highlighted by aggressive plays and clutch 1v1 duels. Aaron “m1ndfreak” Leonheart and Wang “Jinggg” Jie shone brightly for the W Gaming squad in critical moments.

However, DRX quickly turned the tide. On Ascent, the South Korean squad showcased their strategic dominance, crushing PRX 13-4 to level the series. The following maps, Lotus and Icebox, saw both teams deliver nail-biting performances. PRX thrilled fans with flashes of individual brilliance, but DRX’s composure under pressure and clutch plays stifled their opponents’ aggressive pushes. The Blue Giant eventually sealed the deal with 13-11 and 13-9 victories, completing a reverse sweep to claim the title.

This historic win marks DRX as the inaugural ACL champions, earning them the grand prize of $110,000. The triumph solidifies their reputation as a rising force in Asia’s Valorant scene.
