Drama at 24H Spa: Sean Gelael’s car suffers brake fire

Paradine Competition 991 team encountered an unexpected incident during Bronze Cup 24H Spa race — the brakes of Sean Gelael’s car caught fire mid-race. Despite leading in their class, the team had to abandon hopes for their first podium due to various dramatic events.

The team’s initial strategy went according to plan — Silver driver Toby Sowery started from second position with the task of securing the lead and building a gap. Sowery’s BMW M4 maintained a safe distance behind the leading Audi of Max Hofer from Tresor Attempto 66 team.

Strategy adjustment came during the first pit stop period — the team decided to keep Sowery in the cockpit, deviating from the original plan to switch to Darren Leung.
