Dota 2 Player Discovers Game-Breaking Broodmother Bug

A Dota 2 player and Redditor recently discovered a bug involving Broodmother that causes her abilities to become far more powerful than intended.

In a social media thread, user SighNotAvailable reported that Broodmother’s Insatiable Hunger ability deals abnormally high damage due to a bug when they have both Aghanim’s Shard and Refresher Shard in the inventory. The effect goes on even when the game is paused, making the hero overwhelmingly overpowered in any lineup.

To trigger the bug, players simply activate Insatiable Hunger, reset it with the Refresher Shard, and then consume the Aghanim’s Shard to amplify the ability’s stats, exceeding its usual 4% cap.

While the displayed damage may not reflect actual values, the bug still grants Broodmother a massive advantage. With major tournaments approaching, Valve should prioritize patching this exploit to ensure balanced gameplay and a fair meta.
