Donnarumma involved in incident with Musiala at Club World Cup

Gianluigi Donnarumma of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was involved in a serious incident with Jamal Musiala during the 2025 Club World Cup match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta.

The incident occurred when the Italian national team goalkeeper came out of his line to secure the ball — coinciding with Musiala’s attempt to win possession in the penalty area.

The unavoidable collision resulted in the 22-year-old Bayern Munich player’s leg getting trapped under Donnarumma’s body — causing his ankle to twist 90 degrees.

Donnarumma immediately showed an emotional reaction — crouching down to cover his face and visibly crying after realizing the impact of the incident.

Medical examination confirmed Musiala suffered a fibula fracture — which will keep him sidelined from the pitch for at least four to five months ahead.
