Donnarumma faces harsh criticism after Musiala incident at Club World Cup

Gianluigi Donnarumma has become the target of severe criticism following an incident with Jamal Musiala during PSG’s match against Bayern Munich at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup yesterday.

The incident occurred at the end of the first half when Musiala attempted to win the ball — resulting in a heavy collision with the PSG goalkeeper that caused a serious ankle injury.

Manuel Neuer, fellow goalkeeper, expressed his sharp criticism of Donnarumma’s decision:

“That was a situation where you don’t need to do something like that. It was risk-taking. He was willing to accept the risk of injuring his opponent.”
