Doctor reveals last conversation with Diogo Jota before fatal accident

Dr. Miguel Goncalves, personal physiotherapist of Diogo Jota, has shared his last conversation with the Liverpool striker before the tragic incident that claimed his life.

The Portuguese striker suffered from pneumothorax — a collapsed lung condition that prevented him from air travel. This medical condition required Jota to take a land route from Portugal to Santander in northern Spain, before crossing to England by ferry.

Fate had other plans when Jota and his brother Andre Silva met with a fatal accident on the A-52 highway near Cernadilla, Zamora, Spain. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday around 00:30 local time.
