Indonesia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, recently hinted at the potential venue for the M7 Championship, which will be held in Indonesia after the 2026 New Year.

During the MPL ID Season 15 finals last Sunday (15/06) at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Minister Dito attended as a guest of honor and presented the award to Onic ID, who defeated RRQ Hoshi to win their sixth title. He expressed his excitement at witnessing the winning moment again in the same venue.

After the trophy ceremony, Dito took part in a Q&A session with media at the match location and answered several important questions, including one about Indonesia’s preparations as host for M7. He responded that the Ministry has received a request from Moonton to use a new venue in Central Jakarta.

“A few months ago, I received a call from Moonton in China and Singapore. For the M7 planning next January, we at the Ministry are ready to cooperate and provide support.

Recently, there was a request to use the Indonesia Arena as the M7 venue. I believe this will be a new experience for the esports ecosystem and certainly an exciting one.”

The enthusiasm from both Moonton and the Minister is understandable, as the Indonesia Arena has received a positive response for hosting prestigious tournaments and entertainment events. Recently, even several international sports organizers have increasingly requested to hold further competitions at this 16,500-capacity stadium.

However, this is likely still an early stage and could change before Moonton officially announces M7 ticket sales.
