Diego Leon insists he won’t be loaned out from Manchester United

Diego Leon expresses his enthusiasm about joining Manchester United ahead of preseason match against Fiorentina. The Paraguayan left-back is ready to prove his quality at Old Trafford.

“I’m very happy. When you become a professional, you need to adapt quickly, this is a big opportunity,” says Leon.

The 20-year-old player firmly rejects the possibility of being loaned to another club for the upcoming season.

“Everyone thinks I will be loaned out, but I don’t have that mindset. I will perform at my best during preseason and in one or two games, I will play with them,” states the 177-centimeter player.

Leon began his professional career with Cerro Porteno in Paraguay last year — recording 28 appearances and three goals across all competitions. At United, he will compete with Patrick Dorgu and Luke Shaw for the primary left-back position.
