Di Giannantonio disappointed with Dutch MotoGP race result

Fabio Di Giannantonio of Pertamina Enduro VR46 team expressed his disappointment after finishing sixth in the Dutch MotoGP at Assen Circuit — a result that fell short of his expectations with the Desmosedici motorcycle.

The 28-year-old rider experienced technical difficulties since the warm-up session — the rear of his bike lacked proper grip during the opening laps of the race.

“It started well, but since warm-up, the rear felt like riding on ice. I had to drop back because there was no traction coming out of corners,” Di Giannantonio revealed.

The Italian rider found a solution by adapting his riding style — he began braking more gently on straights and more aggressively in corners with lean angles between 45 and 50 degrees.

The situation became more complicated when Di Giannantonio engaged in a battle with his teammate, Franco Morbidelli — both made contact while fighting for position on track.

“Morbidelli is always difficult to overtake. I was faster, he defended, and we made contact,” he explained.
