Dewa United Secures Spot in AFC Challenge League 2025

Dewa United has officially secured a place in next season’s AFC Challenge League after defeating PSBS Biak in the final match of the Liga 1 2024/2025 campaign.

Playing at home, the team led by Jan Olde Riekerink dominated the match against PSBS Biak, who fielded several backup players — including young goalkeeper Pualam Bahari and defender Sukandar Kansai.

Alex Martins scored the only goal of the match in the 9th minute, finishing off a low cross from Taisei Marukawa with a simple strike.

With this victory, Dewa United finishes as Liga 1 runners-up, securing Indonesia’s second slot in next season’s Asian competitions alongside reigning champions Persib Bandung.
