Detonation FocusMe Breaks Winless Run on Day 2 of VCT Pacific Stage 2

Detonation FocusMe 2025

Detonation FocusMe finally broke their losing streak by defeating rivals Zeta Division in the Japanese Derby on Day 2 of VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 2.

The match, which ended late on Thursday (July 17th), featured shocking display of power across Games 1 and 2. DFM ultimately clinched the win by ramping up their attack to close out the match against Zeta’s fierce resistance.

This win was a sweet one as it marks DFM first series victory in a long time. Their last win in a major tournament was during the VCT Pacific 2025 Kickoff group stage back on February 1st – exactly 167 days ago.

DFM has unfortunately become accustomed to long winless periods. Just over a year ago, they ended a victory drought against South Korean powerhouse T1 in the VCT Pacific 2024: Stage 1 group stage, though they still missed the playoffs. That win had ended their longest dry spell – roughly 682 days since their previous official circuit win.

DFM must capitalize on this momentum if they want to reverse their fortunes in the VCT Pacific circuit. However, the road to redemption won’t get any easier, as they face tough upcoming matches against tournament favorites Paper Rex and Talon Esports within the next week.
