Denver’s NWSL expansion team has announced ambitious plans to construct a training center and temporary stadium in Centennial, Colorado — a location situated approximately 15 miles from Denver.

Rob Cohen, Denver NWSL’s controlling owner, emphasized the significance of this partnership:

“Our partnership with the City of Centennial and the Cherry Creek School District represents the power of sports to unite communities and create opportunity”

The planned facilities will include:

  • A temporary 12,000-seat stadium
  • Eight soccer fields
  • 43-acre land area
  • 20,000 square feet facility
  • Player lounges, training areas, recovery rooms
  • Dining space and video analysis theater

NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman welcomed this initiative:

“Denver NWSL is setting a new benchmark for what it means to support professional athletes with the infrastructure they deserve”

After the 2027 NWSL season, the stadium will be reduced to 4,000 seats and will be utilized by the Cherry Creek School District. The partnership also includes a $100,000 donation to the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation and match ticket access for students.
