Jonatan Christie ended his journey at the 2025 Asian Championships after suffering a defeat against Chinese player Lu Guang Zu in the quarterfinals, Friday (11/4) at Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium.

The defending champion and second seed of the tournament — performed well below his best when facing the world number 20 player. Lu Guang Zu managed to control the flow of the match with more aggressive gameplay.

The world number four shuttler from Indonesia struggled to develop his game — trailing from the early stages after being tied 4-4. Weak defense and lack of attacking variations became the main factors in Jonatan Christie’s defeat.
